3 Ways To Overcome Fear

Do you allow fear to stand between you and what you desire in life? What exactly is fear? A common acronym for fear is False Evidence Appearing Real.



Here are three ways to overcome fear:



1. Be Prepared



Fear has a lot to do with your imagination. You can equate it to a darkroom where all types of negative thoughts are generated.



In order to conquer fear, you have to expose it by shining light on it. That light is knowledge.



The next time you are feeling fearful, learn all you can about that which you fear. Prepare yourself with the proper knowledge and you will come to realize that knowledge cures fear.



2. Be Bold



It was Goethe who said, "Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it". To win with fear, you have to be bold.



The fact is that we all have boldness in us. In each situation, we either use it or lose it. Have you ever had a situation where you had no choice but to act and after taking action, despite your fears, you wondered where all your courage came from? Well, I am here to tell you that it was always within you, just waiting to be tapped.



3. Be Curious



When you are fearful, you are basically acting as if you already know all possible outcomes. Instead of being so certain in your imagination, how about becoming like a child...full of curiosity and wonderment.



Instead of filling your mind with fearful thoughts, start saying to yourself...I wonder what will happen if/when...I am curious to see what will happen if/when. You can start playing little curiosity games with yourself and evaluating the outcomes.
